Let's open a SPACE
               to talk about TRAUMA

HOW YOU CAN RECONNECT WITH YOUR SELF IN YOUR CURRENT LIFE
HOW CAN YOU FEEL ALIVE

IN YOUR MIND, BODY, BRAIN, SOUL

Pia

Hi, I am Pia;

We can work together online or face to face in Surrey, UK

In French, in English
or in 'Frenglish' for long time expatriates ;)

I am specialised in working with people living with all the complexity of the aftermath of trauma and complex trauma from childhood and adulthood

I am working with and have a particular professional interest for Dissociation and DID / Dissociative Identity Disorder symptoms management
A disorder that shows a deep coherence in regards to what the individual has been through; an adaptation to abnormal events that happened

My university training and personal life led me to take into account cultural references in their broad spectrum, for example;
. representation of the body
. relationships and inter-connections
. gender representations

The word

T R A U M A

comes from

the Greek

that means

Introduction in English

Introduction en français

We can work together about what you are going through

Let's check how I can provide the support you need at this moment of your life

Trauma can be
Coming from a Single Event
Chronic as in PTSD [Post Traumatic Stress Disorder]
Complex
Developmental
It can belong to the past or still be ongoing
Always invades your present life

Acute / Single event

The developped symptoms will naturally resolve within 3 months.

About 70% of us
have been through this

About 20% will develop PTSD

Complex Trauma

Complex Trauma describes bothexposure to multiple traumatic eventsoften as an invasive, interpersonal natureAndThe wide ranging, long term impact of this exposureAdulthood or Childhood

Chronic Trauma

When Post Traumatic Stress Disorder [PTSD] symptoms remain after 3 months

Developmental Trauma

Refers to the impact of early, repeated trauma and loss which happens within the child’s important developmental phases of their life.Usually early in life.Unborn babies can suffer trauma to their developing mind and body when they are in the womb

We are working in Collaboration
Together on this path

Working with someone in the aftermath of one or several traumatic event/s requires from the therapist to Be with you with a real Conscious Presence and Awareness of what is communicated both Verbally and Non-Verbally

We are working in the Here and Now whilst we may need, at times, to process past events.

The traumatic event is not what left the deeper imprint in you
But the fact that there was no one to Witness what you have been through

THE MODALITIES I CAN OFFER

IF YOU WANT TO REACH OUT,

A sense of humour
when appropriate
for you

Common sense:
Information on our basic needs as a human
that can influence your mood

your sleep, physical exercise,
connection with others
and diet
[I am not a qualified dietician
and cannot offer advice]
